The Grotto Dress

A baroque-style draped dress accentuated by hand-painted and hand-embroidered motifs from cave paintings with a centrepiece relic from the ice age.

The front of the dress is a sea of white waves surrounded by hues of electric blue tulle. This seemingly minimalistic creation has great depth thanks to the crispiness of silk gazar. The back is gracefully framed through the twisting and braiding of the soft tulle, which helps to remove the need for a back zipper.

The back of the dress is decorated with cave art of hand-painted early man in cut-out appliques and a hand-painted primal cow applique that has a wooden and feathered bow thrown into it with embroidered blood gushing out.
