THE MOON MUSEUM GUARD

A SENTINEL OF CELESTIAL ART
A formidable expression of the Painting the Moon narrative, The Moon Museum Guard acts as the definitive protector of the collection’s artistic legacy. This artwork jacket is a study in defensive beauty, merging the rigid strength of industrial materials with the delicate precision of Main de Maestro.
The jacket is built upon a structural buckram base, reinforced with heavy calico and transformed into a multi-dimensional canvas. The surface is a chaotic harmony of hand-painting, beading, and embroidery, fortified by intricate copper wire work and hand-sculpted bronze and crumbled copper elements. To contrast this heavy armor, the sleeves are crafted from diaphanous silk organza, terminating in masterful cuffs that repeat the hand-painted and wire-worked motifs. The ensemble is anchored by a black silk satin “star dust” skirt, which sits close to the form and features ethereal fragments of couture lace and silk organza floating along the hips and waist.
