LA FENÊTRE DE L’ATELIER

A seamless merging of fine art and artisanship. This asymmetrical two-piece dress, utilizes silk organza in a testament to fashion as art .The lower half features fuchsia silk organza, hand-painted, then draped and gathered atop a muslin crumbled underskirt, ingeniously echoing the John Chamberlain style of paper sculptures. This technique adds a three-dimensional, dynamic texture that is both visually stunning and profoundly complex. The top portion of the dress elevates the artistic craft further; transparent silk organza on buckram serves as a canvas for a gorgeous hand-painted, hand embroidered, and hand beaded art scene depicting a French shopping street, inspired by Tomokazu Matsuyama’s work. This segment represents not only an extraordinary level of detail but also a deep appreciation for narrative through fashion. Additionally, the top body is adorned with transparent French cuvette sequins and three cut crystal beads in transparent and chalk white.
